Drop in Anchors (ZYP & Stainless Steel) Technical Data

The drop in anchor is a Deformation Controlle Internal Threaded Socket Anchor, suitable for use in concrete over 20N/mm². When installed, the anchor provides a permanent threaded socket for the attachment of bolts, studding or scaffold ring bolts.

Available either with a Zinc and Yellow Pasivated coating to a minimum of 5µm or in a Stainless Steel Grade A4-316

Drop in anchors can also be used in natural stone and solid brick but care must be taken that the base material is of sufficient strength to support the loads required.

For correct installation on all occassions, the proper setting punch must be used.

Typical applications include suspended pipework, cable tray, ducting, air conditioning, suspended ceilings and scaffold restraints.

Installation instructions

1. Drill correct diameter hole to correct depth

2. Clean hole by brushing and blowing to remove drilling debris and dust

3. insert anchor into hole and expand using correct seting punch and suitable size hammer

4. Position fixture, insert bolt and tighten to required torque.

Care must be taken not to overtighten the bolt or stud where it is not possible to use a torque wrench eg Scaffold Ring Bolts
